Ageless Woman

fall finds for you

Believe it or not: one more trend this summer that has moved into Fall is any print with cactus on it. Go figure.
Here I am wearing it to a function at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards last week with Creigh.
Every fall there is always a "must have" in plaid. This one by Frock Shop fits the bill.
Siobhan is co-owner of Pumpkinseeds, a boutique in Lexington, and a political and social activist and volunteer. She is married to Virginia Senator Creigh Deeds and spends her time between Richmond, Washington DC, her home and shop in Lexington, their farm in Bath County, or anywhere else their many travels may take them.
I tend to buy clothes from UK vendors for the shop. They always seem to have more of a vintage 60s look (my favorite). This dress is from Traffic People and it is now in my closet! This classic sweater dress can be worn simply for a demure look, or accessorized for fun.
Velvet is the "it" fabric for the season. Often used for evening gowns in the 1920s, it made a huge comeback in the 1970s. It's back again, and now we can wear it however we want. A beautiful tunic/dress with embellishments, a velvet hat, velvet pants or jackets, a plaid dress with a hint of velvet...or if you are like me, a pair of velvet shoes will do the trick! Not so in your face, but still on trend. Velvet pieces by Johnny Was. Shoes are Nine West.
Velvet and plaid - perfect for the season!
